Platform
Open by design — your data was never the moat
Franexis connects to the accounting, messaging, and legacy systems a franchise actually runs on — and exposes a documented REST API plus signed webhooks so your own tools can build on it.
Capabilities
What Integrations & API covers
QuickBooks Online
OAuth connections at franchisor and franchisee levels — each franchisee syncs to its own QuickBooks company while royalty billing posts to the franchisor's books — with an entity map, a background sync worker, and a Sync Health dashboard.
PSA onboarding import
Switching from PSA by Canam Systems? A guided wizard imports a location's clients, contacts, equipment, and jobs — with a preview-before-commit step for every row.
Email + SMS lifecycle
Automated client notifications at six job milestones, with per-tenant templates, opt-in preferences, and STOP suppression.
REST API
A bearer-token external API documented with OpenAPI (~60 endpoints) — scoped keys, per-key rate limiting, and idempotency built in.
Outbound webhooks
Domain events delivered with HMAC signing, retries, a dead-letter queue, and replay — covering field service, quotes, CRM, inventory, and more.
Inbound webhooks
HMAC-verified ingress plus captcha-protected public forms bring outside events and leads into the platform safely.
Migration is a wizard, not a services contract
The PSA import runs as a seven-step wizard with a preview stage: every incoming row can be created, linked to an existing record, or skipped — you see exactly what will change before anything commits.
API keys your IT team will respect
Keys are scoped, rate-limited per key with proper 429/Retry-After behavior, and every mutation honors idempotency keys. The full OpenAPI spec ships in-product under developer docs.
Multi-entity QuickBooks, mapped explicitly
A franchise network is many companies, not one ledger. Each franchisee connects its own QuickBooks Online company for operational invoices, and the franchisor connects theirs for royalty and network billing — the intercompany royalty invoice posts to the franchisor's books with the franchisee as the customer. An entity map records how every Franexis record corresponds to its QuickBooks counterpart per connection, so retries and re-syncs stay idempotent instead of creating duplicates.
FAQ
Integrations & API questions
Do you integrate with QuickBooks Desktop?
Franexis syncs with QuickBooks Online. QuickBooks Desktop isn't supported.
How does the QuickBooks sync handle a multi-entity franchise network?
Each franchisee connects its own QuickBooks Online company and the franchisor connects theirs. Job invoices sync to the owning franchisee's file; royalty invoices post to the franchisor's file with the franchisee as the customer. The entity map ties each record to its QuickBooks counterpart per connection, and Sync Health shows per-connection status.
What can the API do?
The external REST API covers roughly 60 endpoints across leads, clients, quotes, work orders, inventory, equipment, and more — with scoped keys, rate limits, and idempotency. Full OpenAPI documentation is available in-product.
What does the PSA import bring over?
Clients and companies, contacts, equipment, and jobs for a location, via PSA's read-only API — with a per-row preview before anything is written. Products import via CSV since PSA's API doesn't expose them.
